“Rakugo” in English & cafe's first anniversary Party

Kamishibai & Izakaya nihght

We enjoyed KAMI-SHIBA that is a form of storytelling that originated from Japanese Buddhist temples during the 12th century and literally means "paper drama". Our staff gave a lecture on how to behave in an IZAKAYA (Japanese-style bar). And then, we went to an IZAKAYA together!!.

Shamisen performance

About 10 girls joined us to make their own nice cell-phone charm and have a great time with Japanese traditional musical instrument, "Shamisen". They really concentrated on their own creation and one of them just made 3 of cell-phone charms. she made for hers and her parents.

New Year MOCHITSUKI
January 10, 2010
We experienced "Mochitsuki", one of major New Year custom in Japan. The cooked rice is pounded with wooden mallets (kine) in a traditional mortar (usu)) to make "mochi (Japanese rice cake)". Two people alternated the work, one pounding and the other turning and wetting the mochi. It was so fan:)

We explored Meiji shrine and Takeshita street, one of the most interesting shopping areas in Japan.
Then we took “Okonomiyaki ( Japanese omelets )” lunch!! Yummy:)
